As we move through what has been an especially challenging winter, I want to share some information on school closures this year, which have resulted from a combination of snow accumulation, extreme cold, and the impact cold weather has on our daily operations. We recognize that each closure has meaningful consequences for working families, daily routines, and student learning, and we approach these decisions with great care.
The process to close school is a complex decision that balances student and staff safety with our commitment to keeping schools open whenever reasonably possible. In addition to weather conditions, we must consider road safety, bus transportation, building operations, and our ability to adequately staff facilities.
Whenever possible, school closures are made the evening before using the best available weather forecasts and after checking road conditions. Our priority is safety and to allow families as much time as possible to prepare.
Saying that, unfortunately, I will need to make the decision regarding Tuesday, tomorrow morning. If we are closing, I hope to let you all know by 5:30 am Tuesday.

There will NOT be JH girls optional practice today. If there is no school tomorrow, then we will again try to have optional practice at 1pm. If there is school tomorrow, then practice will be after school until 5pm.

With school being cancelled again, the JH girls basketball game is cancelled. Optional practice at 1pm. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Granger at (269)719-5978.

Hello Spartan families, Due to the extremely poor condition of our back roads, school will be closed tomorrow, January 26. I hope to get our staff and students into the building as soon as the roads are safe to do so. Please be careful and stay warm.

Weather permitting and if you can make it. Jr. Pro basketball practice will be Saturday from 9am-10am in the High School Gym.

With the incoming weather, tomorrow night's high school basketball game has been postponed until Monday, February 9th(varsity only) starting at 6:30pm.

Homecoming and MS dance has been postponed due to weather. We apologize for any inconvenience. A new date will be announced next week.

JH girls basketball game has been cancelled for today(Thursday)

Our students safety will always be our driving factor in making school cancellations. Some of our backroads our not safe to drive on. School will be closed today as well. Please be safe and stay warm.

Makeup date for the basketball game at Hillsdale Academy is Monday, February 2nd starting 6pm.

- The boys’ high school game at Hillsdale Academy has been cancelled. A makeup date will be announced at a later time.
- Tonight’s School Board meeting is postponed until next Wednesday, Jan 28th.

Due to our poor backroad conditions and extreme cold weather, Waldron Area Schools will be closed again today. The safety of our students will always be our number one priority.

As of right now. The boys high school game against Burr Oak is still on. Home - game time 6pm

Boys JV and Varsity basketball has been cancelled for today(Monday).

Because of high winds and conditions getting worse, the JH girls basketball game today at Pittsford will be cancelled.

Tuesday kicks off Homecoming Spirit Week!! Pajama day.

Homecoming & MS tickets go on sale this week during lunch. Tickets are $5 each.....

Free popcorn and bottled water will be offered at both dances along with a few concession options.
