*SUMMER BRIDGE BOOKS* Elementary students who have worked on their Summer Bridge Book please bring them to the main office tonight for your money back! Thanks for working hard over the summer.
*DAYCARE* Katie Leininger, the new daycare program director, will be at the open house tonight from 5:00-7:00pm. If you would like to enroll your children, please come down and see her.
Hillsdale Area Career Center Spartans are expected to be at the school at 7:10am tomorrow morning. Miss. Teresa will leave the school at 7:15am.
*NEW CELL PHONE POLICY* Effective teaching and learning requires an environment as free from distractions as possible. For this reason, cell phone shall NOT be seen or heard from students within the building and grounds at Waldron Area Schools between the hours of 8:00 am and 2:55 pm when school is in session.
*TONIGHT'S ACTIVITIES* Please come to open house tonight from 5-7pm. We will have tables along the hallway near the cafeteria with donations of clothes. For those in need please take only what you need. If you have any gently used clean clothes, shoes, backpacks, or school supplies, please drop them off to the office today or during open house. Also, Premier Bank will be serving hot dogs and snacks outside the main office. Our Waldron community members will be passing out school supplies. Joyce, from the Waldron District Library, will also be here to share about upcoming events. We will see you tonight!
*FLAG FOOTBALL* Youth flag football practice starts tomorrow in Pittsford at 5:30. Practice is on the infield of the track. Anyone who wants to play needs to be signed up by Friday so shirts can be ready in time for the first game. Sign ups are in the main office.
*MS VOLLEYBALL* MS volleyball practice will start Wednesday, August 24 after school until 5:00. Go Lady Spartans!
*CHROMEBOOKS AND LOCKERS* Students are to return all chromebooks, chargers and hotspots to the office during the open house tomorrow or the first day of school. We will be doing an inventory and reassigning our devices. ALSO, there will be a $10 charge to obtain a locker lock and the $10 will be given back to the student once the lock is returned. Personal locks are not allowed. Locks can be purchased during the open house or first week of school.

*MIDDLE SCHOOL FOOTBALL* Middle school football practice will begin on Monday, August 22 at 3:30-5:15pm. Any questions, please contact Coach Perez at 810-588-7592.
*SMC TRIP*
For all Spartans going on the Southern Michigan College tour tomorrow, the bus will be leaving at 7:30 a.m. Please arrive prior to then. We plan to be back around 3:00.
*FALL TRAP*
Any Spartans in grades 6-12 are welcome to join trap! You do not need to own a firearm or have hunters safety to participate. Contact Joe Fether at 517-398-5003 or Jenn at 908-652-1103 for details on getting signed up!
*CHEER TEAM* Cheer team practice for 6th-12th graders will start on Wednesday, August 17 from 3:30-5:30pm. Anyone interest in joining the cheer team is asked to come and meet Coach Davis.
*MIDDLE SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL* There will be a MS volleyball meeting for players and parents on Monday, August 15 at 7pm in the media center. Come meet Coach Jodi Ordway!
*EAT UP* Don't forget about our free breakfast and lunch we offer to school-aged children throughout the summer. Come and enjoy cereal and sandwiches with our kitchen staff this week. Breakfast is served at 8:30-9:30am and our lunch is served at 11:30am-12:30pm.
*YOUTH FOOTBALL* Flag football sign-ups are open. Any boy or girl entering 3rd - 5th grade can sign-up in the main office or on Saturday, August 13 from 10:00am-11:30am in the north end of the school. Coach Roney will be there to answer any questions. Go Little Spartans!
