*CODING CLUD INNOVATION CAMP* Mrs. DiCenso wants those who are in the coding club and attending Innovation Camp please be here at 8 am Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week. They will receive a t-shirt on Tuesday. They are requesting that they be worn on Wednesday for pictures. Tuesday and Wednesday are full days. We will return back to the school between 3:45 and 4:00 pm. Thursday is a 1/2 day and is awards day. We will be back to the school around 1:15- 1:30 pm. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided Tuesday and Wednesday with no lunch on Thursday. Please provide your child with money for McDonald's, due to no lunch being served on Thursday. On Proposed 2023-2024 Budget
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on June 21, 2023 at 7:30 p.m., at Waldron Area Schools, Media Center, Michigan, the Board of Education of Waldron Area Schools, Hillsdale and Lenawee Counties, Michigan will hold a public hearing to consider the District’s proposed 2023-2024 budget.
The Board may not adopt its proposed 2023-2024 budget until after the public hearing. A copy of the proposed 2023-2024 Waldron Area Schools budget, including the proposed property tax millage rate, is available for public inspection during normal business hours at the Business Office, 13380 Waldron Rd., Waldron, Michigan.
This Budget Hearing includes the: General Fund, Cafeteria Fund, Bond Debt Fund, Sinking Fund and Trust and Agency Fund.
The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing.
This notice is given by order of the Board of Education of Waldron Area Schools.

MESSAGE FROM YOUR KITCHEN CREW!!!
The last week of school our ladies in the kitchen spoiled your Spartans!!!
Monday: They had a cookout, with grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, fresh sliced tomatoes, sliced onion, chopped onion, lettuce, banana peppers & cheese, all which the students could select what they wanted on their hamburger or hot dog. Along with ice cream, a choice of chocolate, vanilla or strawberry!
Tuesday: The kiddos were given finger-jello!! Who doesn't love JELLO!!
Wednesday: The ladies scooped up strawberries & blueberries with a dab of cool-whip on top!
Thursday: Lunch for our K-5 kiddos was served on a frisbee that they could keep for field day on Friday along with a special noise making gadget, which I'm sure our amazing bus drivers appreciated as well...lol
Friday: Fresh baked cookies were made to end our year!!
We loved feeding your Spartans this year, we loved the laughs & hugs, the "special requests" and watching all the students enjoy their lunches. THANK YOU for allowing our staff Miss Vicky, Miss Barb & myself, Miss Luann, to offer your children nutritional varieties of food to help keep them going throughout their day!!

*14U BASEBALL GAME CANCELLED* Due to the field conditions, the 14U baseball game has been cancelled. Sorry for the late notice. Enjoy your free evening!

*LAST DAY* Tomorrow will be our last day! Our elementary students will be having a fun, water day. Please have your student bring sunscreen, water bottle, towel and comfortable shoes. The kids will be outside on the playground from 8:30AM-10:45AM. Parents are welcome to come and watch. Then summer will begin at 11:55AM.


*CELEBRATION* The Walk-A-Thon top sellers were able to have lunch out with Mr. Ellison. They had a great time eating at Cruisers in Fayette.





*WALK-A-THON CELBRATIONS* This was the class with the highest amount raised for the Walk-A-Thon. They had there rewarded pizza party to celebrate. Thank you to all who supported this event.


*BASEBALL/SOFTBALL DISTRICTS* Our varsity baseball and softball teams head to districts tomorrow, Friday, June 2. Tickets need to be purchased by going through https://gofan.co. Search Waldron Area Schools in the search bar and you will be able to purchase your tickets. Good luck, Spartans!

Congratulations to our Spartan 4x800 Relay Team for placing THIRD at tonight's All Region, All League & Area's Best competition! Sophomore Aiden Williams and freshmen Collin Williams, Ryan Anderson, and Austin Cornett beat out larger schools, juniors, and seniors to bring home Waldron's first medal from this event since 2019! Spartans, we are extremely proud! 🏅

Tomorrow is the Tigers game for the seniors, juniors, baseball, and softball teams! The bus leaves at four and should return about midnight. Although cash is not accepted at the stadium, there are kiosks to exchange for card. Please bring funds for food.
