Congratulations to our Middle School Spartan football team! They shut out Litchfield, 20-0! GO SPARTANS!

The 3rd graders today were learning hands-on about the pollination process for flowers.





*MASK MAKING MONDAY*
Our 3D Art Spartans are making masks! Creating masks with plaster gives students the chance to work with new materials. We look forward to posting photos of their final projects!





*GAME CHANGE*
The October 17 JV/Varsity Lady Spartans Volleyball game vs. Hillsdale Academy has moved to October 24 at 5:30PM. It is still a home game.

*HAWAIIAN DAY*
Our Spartans, K-12, celebrated "Hawaiian Day" as part of spirit week! Here are our seniors all ready to head to Hawaii for an early spring break!


*HAPPENING NOW*
Amanda Janes, Hillsdale Center Coordinator, is meeting with our sophomores to inform them about the Early/Middle College program. There will be a parent informational meeting on November 6 at 6:00 P.M. in the Media Center.




*KINDERGARTEN ART*
Mrs. Brighton is working with our kindergartners on coloring! She noted they are doing their best to SLOW down and expand color choices.




Spartan varsity football cancelled for today. Rescheduled Saturday, September 28, at 7pm

*TEAM BUILDING*
Our MS football Spartans were defeated by Lenawee Christian on Wednesday, 20-12. That didn't stop them from enjoying pizza and bonding after! Thank you, Spartans, for reminding us that it's not always just about the win. It's also about sportsmanship and teamwork!

The elementary sign up sheet for P/T conferences has gone home. M/HS parents: teachers will be in the Media Center. If you cannot make it, please contact the teachers you want to speak with. Contact information can be obtained on our app or website.


The varsity football game against Tekonsha tomorrow has a new start time of 5:30 P.M. It is a home game. GO SPARTANS!

*WILLIAMS' BOYS MAKE THEIR MARK*
Today was cattle day at the fair and it was a good one for Sam, Seth and Silas Williams! Seth won feeder calf rate of gain. Silas received fourth place feeder calf rate of gain. Sam got second place steer rate of gain, second place showman in his feeder calf division and won 12 year old steer showmanship! He also placed third in his market steer class! Phew!! Hard work paid off for these Spartans! Excellent job!!




*NORTLEY'S EXCEL AT FAIR*
The Nortley girls did a fantastic job yesterday at the cattle show! Check this out:
Makayla: Second place in dairy feeder calf market and fourth in showmanship.
Mariah: Second in market steer and fourth in showmanship. Second in dairy feeder calf market and second in showmanship.




*SUPREME STATUS*
Mariah Nortley swept the equine category at the fair this week! She earned "Supreme All Around Equine Champion!" Mariah, your determination and many hours of preparation make all your fellow Spartans extremely proud!

*GOAT SHOW*
Congratulations to our Spartans showing in the goat show today! They included Grace Emens, Jena Fellabaum and the Fether kids! Luke Fether earned Reserved Champion in his class. Jena earned second place in showmanship. Dakota earned third place in showmanship and Becca Fether earned fourth in showmanship. Way to go, Spartans!




*EARNING RIBBONS*
Sam Williams' hard work is paying off! This Spartan earned best in class with his model of the USS Arizona and honorable mention with his field corn entry. Keep it going, Spartan!!
