Many Spartans may not know this, but the staff have a yearly tradition! Each year, Carl the Woodchuck is passed along from staff member to staff member. The staff member is expected to care for Carl, dress him up for holidays, and take him to events. Last year he was passed on to Mrs. Booher. Today, she passed Carl to Mr. McDowell! Mr. McDowell signed the adoption paperwork and took Carl the Woodchuck, mullet, cape, and all, back to his classroom with him. Congratulations Mr. McDowell!
